If you use the DAD tuning that will work also as Ron suggested I do it The way I do because I Play in Many different Keys on the same Guitar without changing tuneing

Thanks Uncle John I use an inverted open G tuning most of the time D G B just take the D up to E and The G up to B and B to E I use medium gauge Strings the 2nd B,3rd, G and 4th D Strings from a medium gauge set This allows Me to go up or down without Breakage Standard  pitch for these strings is D,G,B I often drop to A#,F#.C# to Open F sharp tuning it gives me a more relaxed Vocal range to play in all My favorite Keys. I use the inverted tunings because it allows Me to play Bass lines and Melodies on top strings I tune all My 3, and 4 string Guitars this way only I tune the 1st string up to G or Root note of key this gives Me two Roots gives the guitar more Sustain. The E,B,E Tuning is a straight open tuning for power Bar chords two roots don't use this often

Nice tone and playing.   James O, how did you get EBE?  Just tuned down?  
I cranked my swampy up to AEA today and a new song came out.
