I think a deeper body and a mag pickup will give you the volume. A banjo four string would do it too. If anyone could handle the longer stretch you could Daddy. Those are sone long fingers friend. The deeper body will give the acoustic VoLUme you want, a pickup to play out with. Keep the videos coming. I am a fan...

 Credit must go to Chickenbone John here in the UK who made this and inspired me to take up the instrument six years ago.  We are at the discussion stage of him building me another one but with a big acoustic body so that I've got the volume without the need for an amp.  I've been using my tenor guitar as an experiment with this in mind.  It works pretty well but the problem is, the minute you use a guitar with a bigger scale, those stretches get bigger. Have a look at my You Tube channel "greenplectrumfilms" to see videos of the tenor guitar action like this.  Perhaps the answer is to use a deeper body to get that extra volume.
