License Plate Guitar: Ragged Old Truck (Billy Joe Shaver Cover Tribute) / I'd Have Never Fixed That Pickup Truck (Original)

I can't in good conscious turn down a request to cover a Billy Joe Shaver song!

I got a request to cover Ragged Old Truck. I've you've ever seen a clip of him performing this song live, he has one hell of a story to tell leading up to this song. This song specifically had inspired me to write a song of my own called I'd Have Never Fixed That Pickup Truck (If I'd Knowed You'd Have Drove Away). I'd have never written that song if I'd never heard Ragged Old Truck, so I decided to record both of them together on my license plate guitar.

PS:  the best way I know to load videos here is to put them on youtube, wait half an hour or more (or they won't show the cover photo when you put in on CBN) and then get the embed code on youtube and load it up in the video section here under the youtube specialty part

I bet you do some Hank and a bunch of good old songs.  I hope to learn some from you.

This IS a great song.   Yup, thanks for doing this one and so quickly.  It must be one of your regulars.   Wonderful job, better than mine and mine is one of my regulars.

Welcome to CBN.  You are really good and you can find a bit of an audience here, especially if you do some viewing and generous likes and comments - build some friendships.

Another place for these two videos is on Facebook, a spot called 'Make Country Music Sad Again.'

Hey, I like your original.  Good song and  super good performance.  I am thinking you must be a good local pro musician singer down in your home area.  Best wishes to you.

This is a great song. I feel like not a lot of people know this one... well I guess a lot of people don't know BJS at all. Fantastic.
