Plank Guitar using homemade current driven pickup and a spring thing

Plank of oak and a home made lace alumitone princip;le current driven double loop pickup test, spoons and knives.. and springs going twang hot wired onto an old cigarbox with a piezo..Maybe the effect of Lockdown is getting to me ?

Comment by BUGGY (C) on April 24, 2020 at 6:38pm: Self adhesive Copper film loop or aluminium loop works, even a coke can bottom, so long as you drill a hole in the centre.. trick is the NI magnet and the insulator. These are AS 104 Current transformer from RS 1:500 but you have to preamp the hell out of them and us a noise gate..

Anyone done any work with current pickups? to see how you can get them louder? more turns perhaps?? When I went to 1000 turns I lost sound quality so 500 - 750 turns seems best to me? Badsically this works like a transformer.
