Jerry's videos show using the coils from "wall wart" (DC power supply) transducers. I think I must have a dozen of those lying around with nothing to plug them into.

This is really good! There are coils in lots of appliances that are used to transform the power or something, open up a pair of old computer speakers and you will find one.
