I love the tune of this old blues whether played slow (like here) or fast.
Minglewood Blues - possibly written by my favorite harp player, Noah Lewis, of the Memphis Jug Band.
Callyfest may be virtually real only in some of our minds. But the people are friends, the music is good, the seagulls are crapping, the salt air smells good, the beer and food is cheap and tasty, the water is warm enough for wading.
And the nude beach is hard to find. So far, I can not find it.
Thanks to Richard Sundberg and all of you contributed and participated.
PS: I have photos of Pick.

Uncle, some good news and some bad news! First the bad news, there is only bad news. I’m talking with Rose and she thinks it’s a good idea to do a scrapbook of some sort to summarize this historical event. Problem is, I was trapped on the nude beach, elbow to elbow crowding, couldn’t take pictures of everyone. So we’re working up a post here at the Nation that everyone could send in a photo from their beach experience, and I’ll do some kind of video scrapbook to summarize the journey to CALLYFEST, the festival, and closing ceremonies. Any ideas to help us would be appreciated!
Digly, I am sure you will look good in orange. It will bring out your vibrant personality. Testing positive for CBGs... Hmm. Well, you made friends at the beach. You can make friends in the slammer. You'll be like Lars, the old Swede. He went to yale.
I'm stuck at SFO. I tried to get the last flight out to London last night. Noticing my dishevelled appearance and suspicious of my 2 new friends from the Callifest nude beach, the TSA pulled me aside. I tested positive for CBG.
I'm not sure where they're sending me next but there's a man with a tape measure and a rack of orange boiler suits. I'll keep in touch. Maybe.
Jason, Moose! Let's go, dudes!
Thanks, Rich. Warm welcome, warm people and great weather and SIGHTS. Thanks for a great fest. Virtually the best. But I am a homebody at heart. Heading back to my cornfed roots on Sunday. Get on the bus or find another route home. Dave, get the Bronco. Wes, Kigar, MD, Digly, Korrigan, come on now. Early start on Sunday AM. No, you can't bring all that sand and womens.
I am also quite surprised at the Minnie Mouse tattoo on my back! It takes a nude beach to find out things unknown for sure. I’ll have to talk to my practical joker wife what’s up! Following your interests is what got you in trouble in the first place down south! What do you think of 75 degrees on the beach today! Really, not virtually.
:>)
Digly, if the gulls are that bad, I can't blame you. Grab me a bat and helmet too. We'll take a swing at this!
Uncle John, I was by the ice cream vendor but that was too scary. Still hungry, I then went to the donut stand but that was worse - people are getting mugged. I'm currently just outside the event at a local yard sale trying to buy a baseball bat and a helmet. I'll send you a message if I find some food and make it back.
