I've tried several different ways of cutting the neck off of a bottle and this method works pretty well for me. Remain calm and slide away!

That sounds good Bones. I might have to try that.

Yup pick, tossing the bottle at a tree will give you a 20% success rate too!

I use a saws all diamond blade to cut right through the bottle neck there great and it fits in my little banjo saw frame there's very little sharp edge to sand off led chance of cutting your finger off :-).

Thanks Richard. I was lucky to find this bottle but I have bought just for the bottle in the past. It's best to wait a while after finishing the bottle before one uses power tools.

That works well too Erasmo. This is my lazy man, my shoulder hurts, method. I once threw a bottle against a tree (drunk again) and the neck broke off perfectly. I had another drink and tried again - totally missed the tree.

Thanks Jim! Learning something every day here. Learned yesterday from a discussion on the importance of openness inside a wood or cigar box for the best acoustics. Guess I'll have to go out and buy me a thick bottle of something good! Thanks for sharing.
