Thanks Vinylhed. The uke is a cool instrument when it comes to practice. It's small enough to play while riding in the passenger seat and quiet enough to not offend. Plus if you think of it as a 4 string guitar capoed on the 5th fret you find yourself playing blues licks that you'd normally do on guitar. I only get requests for Tiptoe thru the Tulips every now and then!

Thanks for the comments. We'll be driving to CA for my folks 70th anniversary - Dad's 92. I'll take the uke with me to give to Mom. She still plays classical and jazz piano as well as uke!
