Thanks Jim. No homegrown tomatoes is a culinary bummer. Garlic plants did fine. Squashed squash. Patty Pans made it though. Lettuce looks like cooked lettuce. Slimed it. Did a good job of weeding though.

Good explanation Dave. Quite a bit different from 5 string banjo bum ditty but this sounds great on your banjo. Sorry about the hail damage! A garden is always an act of faith and a crap shoot at the same time.

I think it works best on four or six strings. It's a strum so more strings sounds fuller. I like the six string as you can pick melody notes with both forefinger and bass melody with thumb while adding finger flick "diddley" between. That's how Sara and June Carter would do it and Maybell on her Autoharp.
