It saddens me beyond belief to be so close to Huntsville and not be able to get there for the extravaganza this year; work is a bitch. Nonetheless I'm trying not to let it hold me down. I wrote a new tune on an old banjo today. It was owned by a guy I don't know named Clowny Humphries in 1937; I named it 'Clowny's Blues' (very original I know). I had planned to write and record an album with the banjo that would be autobiographical, that is telling the story of Clowny as I create it. Alas it hasn't happened but this gives new hope I suppose. Soon we will resume recording 'Minions and Martyrs' by a new duo of which I represent 50% named Mulehammer. Lastly there is rumor of an as yet unheard album by an organization known only as 'The Q-Monk Octophonic Collective' which I plan to discover any day now. She has admittedly been a bit elusive to date... I hope the show was ten times better than I imagine it was.
