- Cigar box guitars are inclusive. To build something that sounds good, right away, doesn't take a large amount of money or talent.
The joy from plucking and sliding on a one-string diddley bow and creating instantly familiar "blues noises", can be immense to a first time player and can often act as the catalyst for that player to want to build and play something bigger and different. Playing an instrument you have made yourself awakens something primal within you, there is a rawness and a feeling that no mass produced guitar can touch or recreate.
