Got the headstock and fretboard added in the last day. Slotting the headstock is next.

Uncle, i'm going to slot the head this morning. I've not made a slotted head before. The time has come. I cut the top yesterday and used 4 little screws to hold it on for sanding the edges. It's a nice piece of wood. I rubbed on some poly to see the figure better. It's nice wood all around.

Hunh....   Interesting, Dave.   Why not?   That back piece is sure pleasing as well.   How much snow up your way?   Oh!   Like that peg head design.   I want to see this one done.  Take your time and make it good.

Thanks Jerry. This one is taking time, but it's worth it.

Thanks Jim, i fitted the top and put 4 tiny screws in it to hold it down while i sanded the edges to fit to the body. It's bird's eye Buckeye burl. Nice grain and lots of tiny eyes. Looking good. Now Tony's going to make a pocket for the tone and volume and jack in an add on to the tail block. This will keep the hollow body clear of electronics. Just a wire from the jack will go through the body and through a hole in the tail block. The strings will go through the tail block to the back as hold downs. I'm having fun in my new little winter workshop....
