I got a beautiful wood bowl on ebay. A dough bowl. Just right for my tack head banjo. Tomorrow i'll add a goat skin head using tacks to stretch the skin and hold it on the bowl. I'll try Jim Morris' simple method of attachment.

I just eyeball it. Stronger glasses might help. Or stronger Booz. I use wedgeular construction techniques like they do at NASA.

"Yeah", looking fine Dave, never thought to use the shim/wedge trick before !!, when cutting holes (or any cut for that matter), I usually work on the theory, that's it easier to take a bit more wood off than put it back, but sometimes still get it wrong !!!

Nothing I make is quite right. Wedges are my friend. After my skin is on more shims will surround my neck.

Lookin' good Dave. I've used that shim/wedge trick before when my through hole wasn't quite right!
