I tried building a case with a little amp inside. I used poplar and 1/4" birch. It looks and functions good but it's pretty heavy and cost more to build then the guitar.

I still have my 1960 Dano Convertible. The first guitar I ever owned.

I never had the case though.

Cool! I still miss my Danelectro with amp built into case that I had back when I was 17.
