Comment by Dave Lynas on June 2, 2016 at 12:45pm: I love using Cedar. I have a good source for it from edging off old industrial timbers from elevators here in Duluth. It is light, beautiful and good tone wood. I got started playing again after several years away from music. It was the Strumstick that did the trick. Then I moved to banjo and then box guitars and on and on. The strummer was the seed.
