Recent photo of my workbench. I make CB violins, acoustic and electric guitars and electric violins. Parts of all in process shown. I move from project to project to allow for drying time, etc.

that tiger maple is stunning...i have read things about people heating it with flame and such to bring out the grain..killer

Yes, it's tiger maple. I used to buy ebony fingerboards, then I figured out how to make them myself, and I like Maple better. It's still a hard wood, although it doesn't have the oil that ebony or rosewood has. Your photos are very cool. I wonder what you set your neck relief at? Thanks, Steven
