This did have a pretty and nicely finished neck and headstock. I just did not like it, so I took off finish here and there for a relic look.

I like these boxes a lot. not real wood, but they sound good. I've made them all a little different, including one where I reversed the lid to get a white top.

All have piezos with loud and good sound. The white one is tuned DGB and the others are GDg.

Thanks guys.   Dave the top one is one of my most fave players (I have half a dozen).   I do not recall just why, but the bottom one got stripped and the neck used elsewhere.

Nice ones Uncle John, I like the top one best from here. My squirrel nest box will be relic look. My wood started as rough cut, so getting smooth wasn't in the picture. I like the saw marks, belt sander divits, chew marks and knots. I think relic goes with cigar box guits.

Lonman, I went back and admired Uncle Buddy and your newer Chess records build.   Good stuff.

I remember when you posted these many months back. Always cool work you do. You were one of the inspirations for the Uncle Buddy build I did- the 1958 King Enward box.

Thanks guys.  The well played looking one is much played - my fave GDg git.  Timtothy on the paper boxes, just use a sharp blade and cut the paper hinge along the seam.
