Yes I have punched some holes in and seen no difference as well. Your right if it sounds good why change it. Tapered neck really looks good as well.

Sound hole the size of a nickel in the side of the box, facing up toward the player.

Thanks Billy Hill. You may well be right about the hole in the back. I've taken builds apart before to put sound holes in and sometimes they improve the sound. Other times I do the extra work and can't really hear much difference! If I wasn't happy with the sound already I'd put a hole in it in a minute.

I like it simple, but your are not unleashing the boxes potential. I have put my sound holes in the back before to release some sound. Nice job!!
