CBN friends, I've been off the nation and missing it. Bad flare up of the hand arthritis and no playing for a while. Being here on the nation makes me miss playing so much that I have stayed away.

Back today and catching up on some good stuff. I hope to get a cortisone shot in the thumb Monday and be back playing. Maybe will need surgery in 2015.

Haha, thanks, Wayho, but it’s just part of the act Pick & I put on now and then to entertain the troops. You should catch our live act sometime! :D
Hey… I just looked at your photos… forget this Ol’ Red Eye guitar of mine. YOUR excellent guitar really says, “Moonshine"!
(I mean… seriously. It says it right on the front. ; )

Unc > Ouch, take it easy for a while. Good luck with it!

Sorry to hear about the arthritis flare up John.  :-(

I have been away from CBN also as I have been so busy I barely have time to breathe. Hope to get back on and catch up with everyone once I finish up building this last Condo next month.

I am noticing a little arthritis in my hands also, I am sure that is from all the years of commercial fishing trammel nets in the winter on the river when I was younger. That ice water is not good for the hands at all.

Hope you get to feelin' better and playing again soon!!!

I second Dave's comments Unc! This place ain't the same when you're away. I think I told you before that I now sometimes use pre-slotted fret boards (when I can get them cheap) because after cutting slots in 4 or 5 boards my hands stiffen up and I can't play for about a day. I hope the shot helps so you can get back at it!

Very sorry to hear of your pain Uncle. I'm hurting too from my studio building project. My wrists hurt big time. Not much strength. Hope you have some relief and many years more of playing. You are the spirit of CBN and we couldn't have much fun without you here. Can you hold a slide and lap dance? .... Dave
