AGP #313 - $10 POS
Every now and then you get one of those Build/Restorations that no what you do nothing goes right and you can’t get any semblance of what you’re trying to achieve.
Quite happy with the look of this Renovation, but after trying many many different types of string forms (Nylon & Steel) combinations and gauges (3 string-4 String-6 String) nothing seemed to sound anything decent, so after wasting too many frustrating hours on this $10 POS (Piece Of Shit), the decision was made to strip it of its status of AGP #313 build, and decommission the Mongrel of a thing.
It’s a miracle that it’s still in one piece and survived, I did resist the urge to place it on the floor and jump on it, and also to use it for Boomerang practice, at the moment it has been stripped of all its possessions and sentenced to spend time in a remote corner of one of my sheds until further notice.
If nothing else was learned!, it has confirmed my dislike of Piezo Type Pickups and Classical Style Headstocks.

The middle pic is not a Reso Cover as such 'UJ", it's an upturned timber plate I placed on there in another unsuccessful experiment, after the Reso Cone was removed  :-)

Looks great.  Could the reso cover be robbing your sound?

Hmmm... let's combine those ideas and add a ceiling fan...  :D

Unfortunately Dave, problems like bowing, twisting, splitting is part of what we do!, I don't have many failures but this one that tested my "patience", something I've never had a lot of  :-D

Yes! James O I agree, it did look good, and definitely not worth spending too much money on, but it's life isn't over yet! something will happen to down the track  :-D

I have such material in my lake shed. Necks that start bowing, twisting, splitting really gets me!

Throw some strings back on it and turn it into a doorbell...

Well it did look good  sorry it didn't  work out would have made a nice Classical Guitar but a piece of tone wood like cedar would be expensive maybe not worth the cost

Stop putting ideas into my head Erasmo, I resisted the urge to stomp on it, or send it into orbit, and now you have aroused my Pyromaniac Tendencies  :-D
