Sounds good.  Please message me when you post so I don't miss it.  Over & Out.

Thanks John, I'll wait... I have a solution to strengthen the neck recess in the meantime. I'll post photos when I'm done to see what you guys think.

It's a lot easier to put the dots on before the frets.   Hard to wait.

I was going by this for my "almost-through" design; http://www.cigarboxnation.com/group/HMRB101/forum/topics/neck-attac...

PS: I'm waiting on some abalone dots to finish my fretboard, do you think I should wait or would I be okay to fret it first?

I originally had a neck through, John but I hacked it off to add a trapeze tailpiece I'm working on, beginners overload I guess.. I couldn't settle, too many choices. Thanks again for all the advice, I'll working on bracing this sucker better before I blow it apart, actually that could make a cool video if it held until the end of a song.

See where the butt end of the neck makes a 'T' ?   If the board (heel) below that is continued on through - and not just cut off-  you may be okay.

I only intended to go 5mm deep but I kept going deeper as I had to widen the slots. The bottom is rock maple if that helps...

I plan on lining thick felt behind the thin part, kinda like a banjo. and I'm not sure what that dark coloured wisp is its definitely not a crack just some natural swirl in the wood. It was a first build so I was planning as I went, my second build should fair out a bit better, actually this one isn't done yet so I might be able to salvage thanks to you guys...

I'd worry about that apparent crack on the inner heel...and that gap between the thin box and the two sides of the neck concerns me, as well. But it looks pretty.
