Some really good character there Uncle John. I'm thinking that there can be some serious history attached to your stories about it. A bit of reflective tape and some careful work with a sharpie and you can make your own date stickers. A little aging would look good, just don't forget to age the neck too.

This will be awesome, Unc!  Like the idea of 'aging it', but go ahead and leave the dates.  Why the hell not?

Couldn't you find a plate "LP 5942" since this is clearly NOT a Cigar Box - but a License Plate!  LOL!  Again - this is gonna be very cool!

Always want a little "shabby chic" on ur  gits.  I'd do as Pick suggested ,, age it some ,, and especially the area of date n year,,,  Look for a good Holiness Revival  and u'll have all the answers as to who was riding the bus !!!!!  Oh Praise the Lord !!!!!!!
