Hmmm... well that may be true. I was under the impression it was a '65 or '66 kingston guitar. It says kingston on the truss rod plate. I was told kawai bought out Teisco in the late 60's its possible they were building something similar. And it's very easy to mistake different models for others cause this mismatched and swapped out parts all over the place as well as constantly badging them under different names. Switch out the pups and color and now its the "Decca" guitar or something.

Hey Berry Potter, i just saw the Teisco rebuild ? in my email. What's the problem or problems? Any photos? I'm rebuilding many Teiscos lately. I've got one now with a broken neck screw. I'm not sure if i can drill it out, but that's my only idea so far, or add a new hole to the neck plate. I'll try the drill press... Anyhow, let's see that problem Teisco.

Hello Teisco lovers, I've been enjoying some ebay relics that needed rebuilding. In the past week i've done 3 of them. I love the Teisco sound and affordability. I've got several more to do. Mostly i get bodies, some with control plates and some with pups. I like this bringing back to life thing. Today i strip the black paint off a Mahogany Harmony body. It's got the striped control plate with polished and mat stripes. I've been collecting Teisco pups off ebay as well so i'll have a couple of surface mounts to add after refinishing. It started life as a sunburst but got painted all black after being dinged up a lot by some early owner. I won't try and get all the black off. I like the relic look. As long as it plays great and sounds great, some black goop in the dents is ok by me....
