My friend Frank Meyers wanted to know what 3 of my gold foil pickups could do in a "Rat Strat"
build - Here's Mike Dugan giving it a test drive!

Good video and pups sound good.
Are they singles or doubles? If they are singles, is the middle RW/RP?
Well they sure sounds good, but it's not Teisco PU's that he put in this Fender it's new reissue Victoria Gold Foil pickups :-(

These are very good sounding pickups that are close to the originals.
Lollar makes a repro with the rubber magnets like the originals and nails the Teisco tone at twice the price of these. So it depends on how much you want to pay and if you can be happy with the Vintage Lowriders. I think I could be happy with them.
Well I'm a Teisco collector and to me this add is more like posting a VW Beetle in a Ferrari group. You'r right, the pickup is close, but not a Teisco, so is a Beetle but not a Ferrari and it cost less yes, but I wasn't talking about the price at all, just said it's not a Teisco :-)
I run the Facebook Teisco Vintage Guitar Owners group with over 1400 Teisco members, and we do try to keep the place a place for Teiscos, not a place for reissue/fake copies :-)
Funny how Teisco guitars and pickups were frowned upon by people back in the 60's, 70's and 80's and thought by others to be the VW's of that time. Today they are collectible and considered Ferrari class.
Other brands that came out around that time were very good as well as some being terrible brands( I have an 60's Encore that was decent), but because none of the famous players used them in the past they are worthless.
The problem with the copies today is finding the rubber magnets. The cost of those makes the price climb up with the originals. Good originals are getting harder to find as well which is why so many winders are making money on there copies. Same deal with the Fender Wide Range Humbuckers found in the 72 Tele Thinline and Tele Deluxe guitars. Those used CUNIFE magnets originally. Out of all the pickup winders out there today, only one builder makes a original spec WRHB pickup with the CUNIFE magnets(Telenator) and they are about 300 a piece. Even the Fender reissue models used ceramic magnets and buyers were having buyers remorse because the pickups didn't sound like the originals. It's all about cost for those in business because they have to sell in a tuff overcrowded and low cost market. Chinese pickups have flooded our market and they cost very little. These pickups might become highly sought after in 20 to 30 years.
Out of all the Gold Foil clone pickups on the market today, I have to say that these sound very good and are reasonably priced. And I have to say that if I was going to spend 300 on a vintage pickup, it would most likely be for a vintage Gibson P90, Gibson HB, Gretsch HB or maybe a Mosrite pickup. Gold Foil's are nice and it would be nice to have a Cooder Caster, but not the top pick of my list.
