What's a good replacement jack socket for an instrument with the jack socket mounted flush on the pickguard? In many cases the rout isn't deep enough for a regular Switchcraft, and most of these…Continue

I'm glad i've got a direct line from da used guitar shops in my area.
with 10 bidders on dat one, they're not gonna get it cheap! @ da rate they're goin' they're gonna end up payin' a couple hundred bucks more than they thought they were gonna pay for it.
that would b a good buy,1950's Teiscos r da best ones ta have!!! It kinda has a Rickenbaker "Electro" vibe goin' wit da chrome plates. My Teisco J1 has a pickup jus like dat one. it's prolly early-mid 50's, I hope it goes to a serious lap player, cuz it's a serious lap steel guitar!
I believe they're one in the same, repairing for many used guitar shops over the years I've noticed if the holes are loose, then the retainers aren't worth a damn, If yer having trouble with em' moving or coming loose, then either change da hardware or apply a little glue with a toothpick to the holes to take out any play in the hole. those two are usually what I find wrong with the string retainers. sometimes they come good & tight? knock on wood, I haven't had any problems with my kimberly.yet,Lol
Here's my Kimberly Bass, I think Teisco made basses are set up alot better than their guitars for some reason/ and they actually have bridges that worth a damn, this one here came to me with minimal work to get er playin', all she needed was a bath & a strap button. again she has no date stamp whatsoever, but sounds dead on like a rickenbaker 4003.
Yea I've owned a few of those Sears brandedTeisco/ Silvertone guitars & believe me they were their lowest quality guitars, lower than entry level, they're worse than chinese made guitars, one of them was the Silvertone TRG amp in a guitar model, Amp was kool but guitar had da worst tuners & bridge I've ever seen on a Teisco made guitar!!! such a disgrace to da Silvertone name! I believe those are the ones dat killed Silvertone as a serious company, after that they were unable to regain their footing as a quality guitar company & thought of as a cheap beginner guitar maker.:(
