Well, nipped into Halfords. They had 6 of them at £2.99.

I bought 4 :) 1 for me, and 3 more as other projects.

Got my parents in law up for the weekend, my father-in-law and I are going to make diddley bows! I have some nice sticks of elm for the neck this time.

Hopefully today, I shall be heading to Halfords to find some megaphones for project storage.

Do you reckon, if re-packaged into an interesting tin, with the speaker removed but the mic left on, it could have an output jack fitted and used as a pre-amp and plugged into a proper amp as voice/harmonica mic?

cheers pressing apples could be tiresome but food for thought ill maybe just have a couple of pints of old rosey

@MrRandomWritings I plan to do this properly, and take time.

batch one will go into PET coke bottles to allow it to condition for a nice fizz properly.

Batch two will go into pint cider/beer bottles.

I reckon I should have time to build a third/fourth batch for xmas left to mature properly and be spiced with cinnamon sticks, cloves and star anise, to bottle, label and give as budget gifts as well as a couple reserved for me.

@jamesbatten TC is normally made with supermarket juice, and ferment quickly, just juice, yeast ferment, with sugar added if you want stronger, and tea added if you want the a more skin tannin flavour. Some of the guys do add apple finely chopped apple, skins, core and all to the juice instead of tea. It is turbo because it is quick to make because you don't need to press your own juice and it ferments and clears so quickly.

Back on the guitar front, I was about to throw out some rib bones from last night's dinner. Then had a thought. They are now on the boil to remove any oils and meat bits, in a couple of hours I'll drain and cool them, and stick them in the dehydrator to make sure they are properly bone dry. 4 nice long pork rib bones being stored for future use.

And when mooching a charity shop last week, I picked up a fork for free, when I was buying other stuff. That is going to be my tail stock string mount, already flattened, and the tines bent back into a U shape, just need to drill it to screw it through the box into the neck.

I have my second homebrew currently conditioning, just need to wait a month before it's ready now, damn you patience! First homebrew went well, I'm told the kits you get these days are a world apart from those of 20 years ago, my first brew is testament to that - turned out really well! It was Burton Bridge Bitter if anyone's interested, current brew is Colne Valley Bitter. I definitely recommend giving home brewing a go!

@Carl - bottles! Mine never got that far! LOL

@MrRandomWriting I've brewed a kit of a dark ale before and it went really well, but that was 10 years ago, and I don't have any kit before.

So I planned a Turbo cider (cheap apple juice, tea for tannin, lemon juice to sharpen and clear, and yeast) first. I know what you mean about quick to make, hence I can see if I still have the touch. I've been saving all my beer bottles for the first run to see how it goes.
