Problem I had with my first coil one was you can't have the neck running all the way through the box cos the pickup gets in the way and when I did it the box lid wasn't strong enough on it's own and it went hopelessly out of tune! You may need to re-inforce the lid either side of the pickup. If you look at my video http://www.cigarboxnation.com/video/coil-pickup-demo you will see how I got round it - that was very rough and I am sure there are neater/better ways to do it!
Hi - glad to have been of assistance - yes I am sure a router makes life a lot easier! Did you sort out your pickup? Going for a piezo (easiest) or a coil?
Heres the wiring diagram for the two pickups and three way switch you will notice that in the picture the pickups are Humbuckers - just treat these as single coil pickups also the Vol & tone controls (pots) are shown as 500k you need to use 250k for single coil and a .22 Capacitor hope that helps
here is a good source of wiring diagrams if you ever need any http://www.artecsound.com/wiring/wiring_book01.pdf Enjoy juju :-)
cool have fun with it....I played with it for a while and it's pretty good.I've now got myself a Boss loop station but it was playing with this that made me sure I was into it enough to be worth buying one : -)
