Wes, i love the free stuff. I learn things just a little at a time. If i start to pick up one little riff a lesson, that's enough for me. His lessons are plenty with his free sample. He's a good teacher.

Hi Buddy, I've been listening to the Lap steel lessons on your link. Great stuff. The best lesson on chimes i've heard. I think i've got it. Thanks for the link. I gotta get me some of those C6th string sets...

I'm happy to find out my exact same lap steel (1950's Supro Dewight) is selling on Ebay for $389  My lap steel on Eaby

After doing some research I found out that Supro was building "Dewight" guitars for Sonny Sheilds music Store in East Saint Louis, IL. Sonny's real first name was none other than "Dewight". Turns out I bought my first set of Ludwig drums from Sonny Sheilds music store in the early 1960's. I was raised in East St Louis, IL and still live within a few miles of there. Small world huh? (It's not so small if you try MOWING it)... lol

using heavy gauge GHS  strings labelled DYM.  56- 13.

I can get most of the open tunings , but  dont care much for that. time to break down and  try a C6 set plus I'm just learning to play. spend most of my time on a 3 stringer

2nd lap steel build. nothing fancy. just a common 2 x10 for the body.
