Hi Rick, not so much experienced, just old... I've been trying to do this stuff forever and hope to do it forever.....

Hi Rick, ya i get that string buzz when i use a flat toped nut or saddle. You have to have a clean point of departure for your string, like an edge, dropoff, cliff etc. Also a sloppy notch can buzz. A citar has a rounded dowel shaped bridge so the string will buzz intentionally. Peace... Dave

Hey Rick, me again... I've been looking at your laps. They are way nice. I love the simplicity. and they look very sturdy. The big box lap is awesome! You mentioned the Fender rebuild. It's work out great except my wood bridge split this morning. I need to make a angle iron bridge for her. Off to Menard's tomorrow to find some stock. I usually make my stuff in wood, but this one needs metal. That is if i match the old footprint on the Fender. Too many holes lined up for a wood one to work. I like one you made out of aluminum channel stock. Nice...

Hey Rick, thanks for that tuning. I used to use (and still do) the dobro tuning D, B, G, D, B, G for all my slide work. I just recently got into the jazzy stuff. I played a Weissenborn hollow neck and a Hound Dog Dobro through my early years. I still have my Dobro. I'm going to try your tuning as soon as i get through with emails... Thanks!

Hi Rick, say thanks for the G6 tuning idea. What would be the actual notes to try it? I'm not that swift at transposition. I'll give your don't think site a try too. Thanks, Dave

....and I dig your lap steel family of builds!  Keep up the good work!  That two-can crutch sound bite sounds pretty damn good to me!
