I just tried signing out and back in again to see if my tool box shows up. But no. This sure makes it hard to communicate....

Bummer! The red arrow I put in myself because the cursor wouldn't show. Maybe you have a stubborn cursor. I never noticed the bottom right corner to expand the box. Thanks for the tip Dave.................. I'm good!

Sorry Corbie, but my box is empty. No bar, no arrow at the bottom right to make the box bigger. Just a plain blue box that accepts type. ???

Red arrow pointing where your cursor should point. Does this help?

Do you mean the Comment box? Mine has no bar. It's just a blue box that is empty. There is nothing above it either. ?? A lot of lap players like a little heavier string for mellow sustain and since you don't have to fret it it won't hurt your fingers. I use a nickle silver Rockers with 11 for the e string. Don't get wound G, use a wire G. Some even use flat wound for the smooth snake feel.

I just started my first lap steel this evening.  6 string and most likely a 24 inch scale. What type and or guage of strings would be suitable?

In the menu bar at the top of the box, the 2nd icon over.

Say, how do you post a picture on the comments? I'd like to show some laps in my collection...

Hello, i just joined the group. I've a love of the lap steel and have a lot of relics laying about, some rebuilt, some home made and some waiting for a new life. I always like seeing lap steels on CBN and sure will tune in to the group. There sure are a lot of groups on Nation... smile...
