When screwing the reso onto the soundboard, especially if it's relatively thin, do you glue a piece of hardwood under each screw?

I don't think it was that one, it didn't have a tone pot.

Fomhorac, I'm told if you burn your elbow you're supposed to lick it to ease the pain. Try that next time! :-)

I think I followed one of wayfinders diagrams.
Anyway, it wasn't difficult. 10 minutes with a solder iron.
I think I did manage to burn my elbow though. (Don't ask)

Any hints on how the two volume controls with a piezo and a pickup would be wired, please!

I'm hoping to start on my pet bowl reso soon too. Went looking for a 28mm drill bit for the build earlier but couldn't find one. Trip to the main hardware store on Friday I think.

I'm with wayfinder on that one. Two volume controls, one for the piezo (mine is attached to the side wall of the bowl) and one for the pickup. You can blend the sound between both or have each on its own. The tones I get out of this thing are great acoustically and amplified. Note there is nothing holding the bowl down but some glue around the soundboard and the bowl on the inside of the guitar.

Wayfinder is correct. I think the best way to do this is with a preamp that handles pickups and piezo. CBGitty has probably has one for a good price.

No. Put it in the top of the box between the cone and the neck. Most people prefer it close to the neck.
