After taking the top picture, I went back and added a wooden bridge.  The second pic is just to show scale.  I used nails as frets, which has resulted in both a nice tremolo and a need to have a light touch while playing . . . I was going to sand 'em down with a dremel tool, but consensus among my friends is that the pointy bits lend charm.

Randy...... I'd love to see the pics.....If you run your arrow across the line of boxes above where we are writing, each box will yield a small message. Second one from the left says " Image " ...........have at it.

I guess this is a comment, not a discussion - I am within spitting distance of completing my first uke, which will be my second completed project overall. I started when my local cigar shop gave me an Air Bender box which just . . . felt right as a ukulele. I've got a walnut neck, a hackberry fingerboard, and am using 1.5 inch finishing nails as frets. I don't see here how to add pictures, or else I would. Also on deck is a four-string tenor CBG, and my first commissioned work - a four string fretless. I am helpless before the addiction.

Just finished my first Tenor Banjo Uke.  It has a cookie can cover over the bottom of the 8" tamborine and the head is glued on to the neck using a pocket joint screw.  The head is cut 90 degrees and the neck back cut 12 degrees.  It's a banger and you can hear every wrong note over everyone.  I have made many CBU's and CBG, but this is the one I like to play the most.  I get my tuners and strap buttons from Ben and I always get great service.

The uke for the granddaughter is nice too...The uke is perfect for all ages lol

It's never to late to build one Ice Bob...I got addicted to them...i still havent been able to build a CBG 3 stringer yet cause i love building and playing the Ukes !

this was my latest one...I sold it to a good friend of mine that came from Vancouver B.C for the holidays...He saw my CBU and fell in love with it right away. I sold it to him the next day. I was hard to par with it but I have already began another Uke and Im almost done !
