"It worked for sure..The bent fingerboard was from the heat used to remove it.  I just had to see what was up.  I had to do it anyway as the nut was stripped."

Thank you Herb for your comments. I was given this banjo-tam from www.banjo-tam.com as a gift. So, I made these videos to help promote their product. I simply applied my knowledge of Open G (DGDgbd) from 6 string guitar to standard Bluegrass Banjo tuning (gDgbd). As you know, this can be further reduced to 3 string CBG (GDg) and 4 string CBG (Dgbd). Very frugal. Use what you got and spread it as thin as it will go. LOL Enjoy, Keni Lee

Hey Herb - I saw your post on using the tip cleaner from Lowe's as a nut and bridge slot file. I got one today and used it to take a bad buzz out of the high D string on my homemade lap steel by filing the slot in the nut.  Thanks for posting that.  It sure got me out of a bind!!

Thank you Herb for your comment. Unfortunately, I do not own this wonderful instrument. I posted the picture to inspire the builders here. Basically it is a gramophone resonator found in a Victrola record player that amplifies the sound. Google Stroh violin for more info. Enjoy.
