I have used a pair of strippers like this for years - it will strip down to very small wire cleanly without breaking strands like you often get if you use a knife. i never could get the hang of those plier/cutter type strippers.

20-22 guage, cause that is what I can get and what I have tools to work with. The pre-soldered leads, which I rmove are a smaller guage than that. Note smaller the wire the larger the number and the larger the wire, the less resistance.

Never could use strippers. I roll the wire on my bench with my little exacto gently against the wire. Then use Bill's method for stripping. I hate tiny wires common on many mag pups too....

Thumbnail against index finger, pull wire in between.  Pull the wire not the piezo.

Does anyone have any advice for stripping tiny wires for soldering? My wire strippers go down to 22 gauge, but I need to strip & solder to some piezo leads that must be 32 or smaller. Thanks in advance!

Ok had one more question then I'll shut up......Say I put a mag coil in my cigar box guitar....with the hole for the mag and that thing hanging from the lid etc....how much would that impede the acoustics if I want to practice without a amp...or is it pretty much very quiet acoustically with that set up?

Ok so my original question...(For magnetic coil) I use a 500k for vol...then I hook up another one of the very same 500k as my tone...no problem right???..and it works just fine that way right?
