I just recently Had a very beautiful 4 string made for me, its stringage as is, Gauges high to low, 12-16-20-30, tuned to open D major (DF#AD). Great for slide and chords. I also have messed around and found out DGBD, G major sounds great also. Another is a trippy DEAD, and theres DGAD. These string gauges are pretty versital and can handle all the different tunings listed above. Hope this helps!

Capt, there are a bunch of sites that are for Dulcimer but doubt that would help much. Dulcimers are diatonic (major scale) fretted. The tabs would not work per se unless you transcribed them. I usually look on Chordie.com to find tabs but most are standard EDGBe tuning.

I do GDBe (actually 1 simitone lower) so I can do standard guitar chords.

LBO, My guitar (and most of the tabs I have here) are really chromatic scaled instruments (all the semitones, not just a major/minor scale). Tho, you can do chords in diatonic 3 string. Also most of my tab fingerings are for chromatic and thus would be quite different on yours.

example: my |--1--| would not be the same as your |--1--|. Your |--1--| would be my |--2--| being that I have a semitone in there.

Keni Lee Burgess has some really great vids on how to work with 3-string. I also have some dulcimer tabs here (I think) which should work. Mostly DAD, DAA or DGB tuning. If I don't have them here, I can make them available.

Hi, ...Wes I don't understand a few things, I use three strings guitar in diatonic scale, how can I use the tabs you sent for four strings ? Are your four strings guitars in diatonic scale too guys ? would it mean my bottom string is the same as yours ? ... Also I may have a request because I'm looking for "Fly me to the moon" tabs for a three strings guitar, does anyone have it ? Many thanks
