I have built a few resonators using ink can lids (by trade, I'm a printer) with nice results. They sound like banjos, I'm very happy with the sound. However, I haven't put piezos in them yet because I'm unsure of where to put them. After some experimentation, I've found I like the sound of the piezo directly on the resonator and on the neck behind it. I would like to put one in each location and wire them to volume knobs. Does anyone have a wiring diagram to illustrate this, or can someone explain it to me? Thanks much folks, have a great one.

You will probably find it in the electronics group.

If you wire them in parallel, it will cut the impedance in half. This will make the piezos sound much nicer.
Thanks folks, is it possible to have each with it's own independent volume control?
Yes it is.
Can you explain how to wire it? I thought I did it correctly, but both volume knobs control both piezos, not each individual one. I've done something wrong... :)

I tried to find an image for you and the closest I found was this one.

Pretend the Bass magnetic pickups are Piezos and just remove the tone pot out of this diagram. Run the wire from the 2nd volume control that runs to the middle tab of the tone pot to the positive tab on the output jack instead.

hope this helps.

Your Welcome.

I am glad it helped you. Wiring can get frustrating.
