The York Fest is the same weekend.

The wife and I are staying at the Homewood Suites just outside town, more expensive than a Motel 6, but nicer.

 

Don't know about campgrounds. I don't sleep with the bugs. LOL

yea but Shane was talking about some shows being at a few bars... One on Friday, and I thought a few Saturday as well...

Now that you mention it, he did say there were some other activities. I seem to remember that there was some action Friday night at the First Capital Dispensing Company, which is where he does his Wednesday open mic night. I will double check with him and see if he can add the other gigs to the list here.

--  Thurs. Aug. 25: The festival kicks off with a set from Pigfeeder, featuring Shane Speal, Rod Goelz and Johnny Calamari, at the First Capital Dispensing Co., 57 N. Pershing Ave. 

-- Fri. Aug. 26: A cigar box guitar seminar is planned at the York Emporium, 343 W. Market St.

Voodoo Highway will perform at the First Cap 10pm-1am,  

and Shane Speal will lead a cigar box jam at Bistro 19, 19 N. George St.

Sat. Aug. 27 (10am - 5 pm): Fourteen acts will perform on two stages at the York Emporium. The lineup includes Keni Lee Burgess, Gerry Thompson, Knotlenny and the Muckland Crooners jug band, Stone Breath, Voodoo Highway and others. There will be food, vendors and an open mike stage. 

-- 10 p.m. Aug. 27: Purgatory Hill performs at the First Cap, and April Mae & The June Bugs will perform at Bistro 19.
