Been working on this one for awhile. Glad to finally get it strung up and playing. I expect I'll be spending a lot of time with this one. Many playing sessions to come.

Thanks Dani and Bear. You can order those strings off Amazon or direct from DR. They have some other colors too I think. I know they at least have red. The have a good feel to them as well. They are a bit like playing Elixir strings.

Looking and sounding great. I love how those black strings look with the black tuning pegs on a dark body with the silver dog bowl. Nice finishing touch and I think it's made a strong difference too. I've not heard of that string brand before so I might have a look around for them. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks on the strings and tuning.

Thanks guys. It's tuned eE-bB-ee - (.026/.046, .017/.036, .012/.013 DR Black Beauties). I had to piece this string series together with a medium and and Extra Heavy set. The string pull weight is not too severe with this tuning. The 23 inch scale helps with the pressure and there is also a carbon fiber rod embedded in the neck. I might try this tuning later, gG-dD-gg -(.017/.036, .013/.026, .010/.017). I have a feeling I'll be playing around with this one for awhile.

Yup, what Pick said.   Looks like you have some doubled strings.  How are you tuned?
