Thanks RTZ. This was inspired by some I've seen from Civil War Era. Moonshine? Never heard of it here in WV!

Thanks Wade. The old 2x4, rusty zither pins, and vinegar/steel wool solution worked together nicely for what I hoped would make it look about 100 years old.

Thanks Jim in Tucson. I sometimes work real hard to get an instrument looking as perfect as I can. It was nice to take a more relaxed attitude with this one.

Lol! Thanks Ron, low expectations are my bread and butter. I'll have to check out Bill's museum sometime. I think this fiddle sounds exactly like a fiddle made from a 2x4 , and I believe there's a lesson in that - Savor and believe in what or who you are and sound like yourself!
