No worries Unc! I hear ya, I've got 14 builds in various stages at the moment. Thanks Chris, and Dave! I'm having fun with these

Thanks, 126.  Good info.   Too many projects and not enough time!   And so many new ideas come along on CBN to tempt me.

Thanks Unc, Pick, and Wade! Yah Pick, where do I sign up?! I dug that ccommercial when it came out. Unc, the pickups are mounted to a piece of 1x2 to raise their height even with the fretboard. I mounted a scrap piece of 1/2" yellow pine to the back of the body. It is cut to fit inside the rails of the washboard and adds stability and good weight to balance the guitars out, as well as hiding the wiring. They have surprisingly loud acoustic volume due to the height of the bridge. The first one I built a few months ago was constructed similar to the way Wade described his build. I came into a pile of these old washboards in varying sizes so I will be experimenting further . . .

Pick....  Wot?

Thanks, Wade.  That kind of clarifies what I had in mind for a pot-lid build.  Maybe will do similar when I get around to working on my wash board.

John, lately I use a full 1x2 for all my builds on the inside as a solid "spine" I make my "spine" or carry through 3 1/2 to 4 " longer than the box/washboard. That is the area I use to attach the neck.
