Are you John A. Thompson 's friend who was interested in the Gears of War 3 string?

He offered to let you have this one since he said its right up your alley.

I am definitely interested.  In my original post I stated that I was interested in CBG for numerous reasons.  I am not sure if it is possible, but I am hoping to get enough for every injured Marine/Sailor that I have during my deployment.  Do not get me wrong, I do not expect anyone to do this for free.  I am just looking for someone that may be interested in assisting to make this possible.  My plan is upon my return home to go Bethesda, Walter Reed, the Brooke Army Medical Center for burned service members in Texas.  I currently only have two that have been injured, but I am sure as the deployment goes on, there will be more.

I have contacted Walter Reed in the past, and they essentially told me they were not interested in receiving any instruments from our group. I am positive that members of our group would be willing to build some CBGs for wounded warriors, we just never were able to get a contact who could arrange to have them delivered into the WW's hands. I have no idea how many we would be able to provide.

Would the Gears be for you?

Also, my daughter and I would be happy to participate getting more out to you. We have a couple more available and could send one extra along with the Gears so you can get it out to someone deserving.

We only ask for pictures for Ashleys scrapbook once the soldiers recieve their items. Also your pic as well.

Yes the Gears would be for me.  The pictures would not be a problem.  Only thing would be is that it wouldn't be until I got home that I would be able to do this.  Being where we are and moving as much as we do, I would hate to have those sent out here and something happen to them.

Would you like the Gears shipped home? Or to a base where it can be forwarded to you?

As for the other guitars feel free to post up and we will defenetly participate once you get home.
