Sorry, man.

This is actually a rebuild cigar box guitar that I made for a local artist here at the Jersey Shore, Mr. Ronnie Brandt. This was my first attempt at building a CBG and had stopped working on it. Ronnie recently came to me with an idea to build a Jack Daniels Cigar Box Guitar. I told him about the one I had started and he asked if I could build it to withstand gigging and incorporate a JD deed in the theme of the guitar. I had found the cigar box on EBay and it truly is one-of a-kind. It actually had cigars in it and the Jack Daniels logo on the top. Apparently it was a limited edition, as I have not seen another like it ever since. I added the thru-neck made from mahogany with a oak fingerboard on top. The brass sound holes and corner braces really look great on this box. It has a peizo pickup mounted on the underside of the neck and a volume control on top. Its sounds very good plugged into a small PA system.. Ronnie supplied me with a copy of his Jack Daniels deed that I reliced/aged and attached to the back. This really personalizes the guitar and also looks really cool.

Well well, well, there are some real beauties here, but I'll throw my hat in.  This is my first build and was completed just last night.  Most of the parts are from friends of this site.  The hockey stick bracing the body is courtesy of my 6-yr old.  I love that Crocker bridge.

It has tortoise shell position markers, brass ferrules, Kluson green key tuners and a pine neck.  Best of all, as you all have found with your own builds, it's fun to play, and even better when you have built her yourself.

Take care!

This is my submission! I am completely new to this shebang and i built it as a gift for my partner. I was very pleased when i hooked it up to my CB Gitty amp and it works! Sounds pretty sexy :D Roll on build no.2!

For this contest, I am submitting my "sympatico" guitar, which is a 3 stringer with 3 additional sympathetic strings. This instrument was inspired by the Hardanger fiddle as well as the work of luthier Fred Carlson. It features a dual piezo pick up in parallel soldered to a 1 mega ohm volume pot. The volume knob was recycled from a sparkling wine cork. The sympathetics, as you can see, run underneath the fingerboard and through the bridge, underneath the melody strings. Getting them to buzz has been the hardest thing, and, like all my other builds, I find myself constantly tweaking the instrument to achieve its maximum potential. This instrument is LOUD!

that is sweeeet !!!  bunty  ..  good job !!!!

Daft question alert....

When is the deadline for submissions? Iv just finished one that I thought wouldnt be done for another week - can I put it in?

Cheers
