hello nation, can anyone give advice on a good width for a 4 string neck? thanks.

A standard 1x2 works fine.
It's a personal choice, but I've just made a 4 string neck, works out 42mm (1 5/8 inches wide), overall string spacing 32mm (1 1/4inches) at the nut.
 thanks for your input,I wasn't sure . now I can get to work.
