Dave passed away on Friday AM, 9/17/21. Thanks for all the well-wishers before and after his passing.

Dave, a friend to many on CBN and a good old rascal has been ill and AWOL from CBN.

One of his home town (Duluth, Minnesota) friends messaged me today on FB and told me that his condition has been worsening.

Dave hurt his back a while back and then got some better and went to music event with friends he had not seen for a while due to Covid.   Dave was joyous to go.   Shortly after that event, Dave got Covid.

I thought Dave had got his vaccinations, but I may be wrong about that.   The poor guy also got hit very hard this year with the death of a loved one.

Dave is a generous giver of his talents in music, CBG building, drawn and painted art, and pottery and SLIDE making.   He is known to draw cool art on packages he mails -such as slides and pottery.

Prayers and good thoughts may be a big help.  Also include his sweet wife, Yannis.

Folks, I have been around hospice care quite a bit.  It is not about trying to get someone better.  It is end of life care when hopes of getting well are not realistic.   Hospice is about making the last part of life more comfortable.  It is about easing pain and usually involves a lot of med aided sleep with short periods of wakefulness, and hopefully communication.  It's about peace.

Doing hospice at home is....  what some patients and families want or think they want.   It is almost always very hard on the family care giver.

Just my opinion, and a plug for hospice, but I will certainly go hospice if that condition reaches me.  But I would go to a free-standing hospice to ease the burden on Linda and not have her or others come into our home and think, 'he died here.'

My prayers are for Dave's comfort, salvation, and for Yanis and others who care about him.

God bless.

Agree John. when you first posted that he was going home, and Hospice would be there, I knew what would be the outcome. We would all like for him to get better, but as we all know, God has other plans. Continued prayers for Dave, Yannis, and all their family and friends.

Sending up prayers for Dave. He is a wonderfully talented person with a kind and generous soul.

Dave has enriched all of our lives.

He has touched many more than he ever realized.

What a gift to us ...    May God hold him in the palm of His hand.

Sending love and light to Dave...And a large cyber hug....

Thoughts and prayers. Dave is a special person, human extraordinaire.

Prayers go out to you Dave and Yanis.  You are strong, skillful, kind and creative... legend!

Godspeed, Dave, on your next Grand Adventure!

That is some terrible news John, but thanks for sharing it with all of us. Dave is more or less royalty around here. Sending nothing but good wishes and loving thoughts his way.

A good day to come when after doing everything you can do on this great earth, you pass through the doors of our Lord. Thank you Dave for inspiring me. Peace be with you.

Very sad. What a gift. Prayers up for his time and his wife through all the transition... sigh... Thanks for the update Unc. -Glenn
