This was my buddy the "Kool dog Hooch" at least he thought he was! Pain in my ass, but I miss him!

I became BrianQ. when I started school cuz my last name is 12 letters long & in 1st grade that’s a lot of letters to write? Lol

We had a Greek in our outfit that "no one" could pronounce his first or last name, so some body nicked named him "Soup" (as in alphabet)! The name stuck!

Wasn't me, I swear!

LOL I'm relieved to know that. If it was, I'd be very worried, went to his memorial service over 30 yrs ago. I remember somebody said "you have more letters in your name then a bowl of alphabet soup"!

Folded Soup? You tweeted my interest. What's the story?

Ages ago there was a Steve Martin book - a collection of short comedic essays, really - and one of them was about the advantages of learning how to fold your soup. You could more easily take it to work, hang it on your wall to save for later, etc. Very droll.

When the internet was just beginning, I was a young computer nerd very active in BBS and messing board circles. You needed a handle back then, and I ended up with foldedsoup. The name just stuck as something I remembered somewhere - more than 20 years later I had to do some research to see exactly where my brain came up with it originally. I've been using it since the 80s with very few conflicts with other foldedsoups. When you find a handle that's been fun and unique for a few decades, you tend to stick with it. And I haven't digitally shamed myself to the point where I'd have to abandon it. Yet.

Unfortunate umbilical cord incident.

:-)

"Rough Cut"? As in stones and lumber or around the edges?

Didn't buy the umbilical cord story, huh? The first box I built said 'Fine Cut Tobacco' on it and I liked the connection to starting to work the lumber, so that gave me the name for my business. Fun topic BTW :-)

And...?

Oops, sorry - guess I left that story unfinished. So, I named my brand Rough Cut Guitars and just tagged my name on it for the Nation. See? The first story was way more interesting :-) Enjoy your Labor Day Kool Dog!

Disappointed I am! Here I was expecting that you were some kind of kick boxer or at least your wrestling name. But Nooo! We can't have that! Lol thanks and same to you! It'd be better if this damn storm would go away!

My normie name is Ian Titulaer. You can't shorten Ian so Titulaer got shortened to Titch. Then I got a gig doing clowning at kids parties and things so that was that.
