so what do you use in your GDG tuning low medium medium or low medium high

and why?  i find the low medium medium makes playing melody easier as you have two strings to share the load...  but low medium high just sounds so nice especially when playing chords.

The A string tuned down to G, D & G string as is. What I often used for 3 string in the past with great results.

.042/.032/.022 is my usual GDg choice, but I sometimes use .036/.026/.017 when Guitar Center has Ernie Ball regular Slinky's one sale (3 sets for $10.00).

Ok the reason i asked is because i bought these for a build. as you can see Gitty recommends them.  I thought the high G needed to be tuned an octave above the D  ... to a high G which make playing tunes on the the middle and high string difficult.  today i tuned down that High G to the octave range of the middle D somewhat slack stringing it but it sounds very good is that what you need to do these because having that G an octave range higher then the D sure did not work well... am i making any sense???

LMH - Low G, Middle D, High G - Recommended!

Yep, I don't care for the low, middle, high setup for the same reason - makes playing melody and fingering chords awkward.  It can sound nice if you are playing slide and only using the first string for melody, but I'd much rather use consecutive strings for everything, and I don't really see a lot of people using the LMH setup.
