I am finishing up a CBG for my grandson.  i bought a piezo harness off ebay which in include pot and input jack.

the person that made it only used like 5 inches max of wire between the components. i do not have the time or the wire to fix it.  one of my possible options is to mount the piezo to the back of the CBox in stead of the lid (soundboard) will it make a difference has anyone tried that with good results?

thanks you and Merry Christmas

yep spent 40+ years in the electronics industry. got that all down but i do not have the wire. and it is COLD outside... i do not feel like going out.

actually also the culprit is between the piezo and the input jack...

not an experimental it is a Christmas gift. .....i was just thinking about it picking up body noise mounted to the back o the box when i saw yer second reply

i can get it to the lid with some creative assembly .... but i like things to be as they should at least 10 inches of wire between components... i actually was going to mount the volume knob in a different location but got stuck with the lower left because of the wire length ... i was just wondering about options thanks for yer help... its all good!

Christmas light wire is another good choice you may have handy...

Heck, Lamp Cord will work in a pinch... Most of us don't use volume controls on Piezos... set it at full volume and glue it inside the box...

But yes, the piezo really should be under the corner of the bridge...
