Well, because of the lack of downloads and the gaps between new episodes Mypodcast.com is shutting down the podcast and deleting the archived shows.  I have struggled with tech problems with them and other free hosting sites. I personally can't afford to pay for a hosting site so i think it is time to let it go. I also believe there is lack of interest from the cigar box guitar community.  I have a few faithful followers who enjoy the show, but I think most folks are more interested in building and selling cbgs than playing them or supporting the musicians who play them.

If you want episodes for yourself I would get to the site and download them before they are gone.

For those of you who want to support cbg music and musicians I encourage you to listen and support Rev. Nix and his live online radio shows devoted to cbg's.

Thanks to all who supported the show, contributed music, and encouraged me along the way.

Hi Eric
Sorry to hear about the end of the podcast i know you put great effort into making them - it's upsetting to here that there has been very little input from the CBN Members for whom the Podcasts are aimed at

thanks for all the previous Podcasts i enjoyed them all and looked forward to the next one - thanks for all your hard work bro i appriciate what you have done

keep well Bro
juju :)
Sad but true brother......my listeners are the cow punk crowd underground hellbillys! If you ever want me to stream something you know i will brother. Im so sorry to hear. Send me all eps. you got and i will make a page so they can stream forever!
Man, you make a valid point. Since the doubleneck contest, I've been thinking the same thing. It's one thing to build 'em, but once one does, one has to start making MUSIC, bring some life to the instruments. You are doing that with your solo projects and with 7 Hills Stomp. It's really about keeping it REAL. You certainly are doing that. I'm sorry to hear that the podcasts will be coming to an end. Just keep on making REAL music, bro! CHEERS!
I also believe there is lack of interest from the cigar box guitar community.....

Why? I have been trying to figure this out? I see only 5 people said anything. Were the hell is this revolution that turned into a Nation? Im not seeing it..... so sad BUT i will keep on keeping on no matter what, i only play people who participate so if you do participate no air play from me. Im moving into a Bar soon the #1 pub in town 7 years in a row on Wednesday night to DJ Cigar Box Guitar Music and Country and Blues but i guess only people like you Tin8 Shane Lowebow Keni and so on will get in to this mix OH well.

lack of interest from the cigar box guitar community.....
on the same note with these other guys i too am sorry to hear that it is the end of your podcast. There seems to be disappointment in the tone of your type. That too is a bummer. Thank you again for your dedication and sacrifices to make it possible for this long. I will miss your podcasts.
It's summertime. Builders/players go into hibernation from online activities. It's the nature of the beast. Even I have been somewhat absent in here due to the new job and things. It's all ebb and flow. There will be a massive return once weather changes, school goes back in session and the holidays approach. Don't let your heart be troubled.

The fellers at Ning keep promising new and exciting features. If I can host podcasts in here, we'll bring the Joker's back full-force along with Nix's (if he wants). Cigar Box Nation can then be the permanent home.

Shane I hope so.... I down loaded Joker's podcast for the flight to China they are really great! I would encourage anyone who has not had the chance to listen to them to do so while they can. Joker for my part I am an old guy that had never even checked out a podcast. Nix actually pointed me in your direction. Your work is informative and entertaining the lack of downloads has to be from not having enough time to get the word out.... Keep the faith you are a talented guy and I agree you are the Omega I hope that you do find a way to do more shows (if you will) in the future. We just don't have enough historians out there to tell the Cigar Box story. Jim

Gimme a little time and I'll host the old podcasts on www.cigarboxguitar.com I have plenty of space there. Joker, if you make some more podcasts, simply send me the mp3.

this is a no-brainer. We don't need dedicated podcast hosting sites anymore.
I will move here! I would love to stream my shows here...but still stay LIVE on scrub or somewere...???? Im getting more and more as weeks go by i have about 35 every wednesday not members here but they tune in for the music! Im really upset about Joker feeling this way it hurts me deeply......I took this job on myself i will always promote the guys heres i love it no matter what .....you can count on me.

I am going to send the archived shows and new episodes to Shane to be hosted at www.cigarboxguitar.com .
This is good news! Stay tuned......
it would be great if the rev would have a place here as well. I can only get the show on my work computer and my hours have changed. I miss the program.
