I empathize, I finished my last one 3 or 4 months ago, and have a quickie project on my work table that's been idle for weeks...

Get a paper pad, a pencil and a ruler and start to plan right down to the last screw.
Her - "honey can I watch the soaps?"
You - "sure!" *quick kiss.. Reach under the settee.. Pull out the pad.

Just start one and let it design itself as you go. There are no rules, so what you get is what you get. Just let it happen. That's what I do.

finally got things out of the way will start on a canjo next week.

then I'll start on the real 3 stringer.

just bought a load of wood,ash/mahogany 20mm x 20mm .

mahogany I will cut in half length wise and glue two ash and mahogany in the middle.

got stacks of wood well for me any way.

got about 12 pieces   520mm in length  x 80mm width and 15mm thick .

got this lot for a tenner ...$14! these I will cut to size 37mm x 10mm for fret board blanks  and stick them in ebay .probably sell these for around 7 pounds each( $9) plus shipping.

the ones that sell over here are well over $13 each.

also considering selling necks as well.

the guitars themselves dont sell manyl even though I've only sold one through ebay others I gave to family and friends.I'm not in it to make money just enough to pay for itself.

its a just a form of hobby to keep myself out of mischief now that I'm almost at retirement age! 65 in november.then I'll definately classed as a pensioner.lol
