Thanks Maddog. I've always enjoyed Roscoe H's playing and his version isn't too very different - a little faster I think. I tried to get a little closer to Ralph Stanley's version here and both those versions are different from how I usually play this song but that's all part of what makes it folk music.

JunkStock sounds like my kind of festival!

Awesome Jim! Have always loved this song.

My first exsposure to it was from Roscoe Holcomb's version. I've been a big fan of Roscoe's music for many a year and when I saw your vid title I thought of RH right away :-) 

(Sorry I've been a little absent as of late, had the big JunkStock Festival this past weekend and I'm just now getting caught up on sleep)

Didn't know Ralph died. What a shame.  You sure did a good job on his song!!
